Kensington Community Fellowship (KCF) started out as a plant out from Central Community Fellowship (CCF), Pastors Morgan & Valencia Pillay under the direction and supervision of the Fellowship of Community Churches (FCC), our oversight body and more especially Pastors Ivor and Hillary Temlett, our senior pastors.

When God orchestrated the multiplication of CCF into 4 churches in 2002, the FCC was formed to provide oversight and spiritual covering to these churches. We were duly constituted as a local church and released with the congregation from the Kensington, Bez Valley and surrounding areas.

Our first service was held at the Kensington Secondary School on 7th July 2002. In December 2002 we moved to the Hellenic Church (our current home), corner 7th Street and 7th Avenue in Bez Valley.

The FCC has managed to mentor us for four years after which they released us to operate as an Autonomous Church in 2006, but we maintained a relational accountability to the FCC as our spiritual covering.

Our Vision “To evangelize our communities and establish churches by planting, growing and multiplying cell groups” came to fruition on 28th June 2015 when KCF planted out its first church of 60 people to start Lighthouse Community Fellowship (LCF) in the Primrose area. Pastors Dean and Jessica Arthur were ordained and are the senior pastors at LCF.

As we continued to do God’s work, trusting in him to fulfill our vision, 2023 marked a significant year when KCF planted out 2 more churches. Trinity Community Fellowship (TCF) was planted our in the Bez Valley area. Pastors Strini and Pam Marimuthoo are the senior pastors at TCF. Harvest Community Fellowship (HCF) was planted out in the Edenvale area. Pastors Brendan and Sharmla Johns are the senior pastors at HCF.

Going forward we plan to plant out 4 more churches to the glory of God.
